Types of Blessing

Philippians 4:19 says, "Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus. (GMR)"

Let's look at some of the things that we could consider blessings in our lives. Notice that this passage says that He will provide our needs according to His 'riches in glory' (the heavenly realm). How? 'Through Christ Jesus' (in Christ). You see the same link between blessing, the heavenly realm and being in Christ. They are always together. You will see it continually in the Word.

What are some of your needs? How about basic living expenses? How about food, clothing, transport, electricity, and a house with a roof over your head? These are things that each one of us must have in order to survive in this world. Does God want us to have these? Of course He does!

What about health? How can you survive with ill health? If your body is sick how can you go out and work? How can you live a normal life? What about wisdom for living? The ability to know how to go about your life? The ability to be gainfully employed in order to bring in an income? The ability to deal with problems that come your way? The ability to handle every situation that you face in life?

If these things are blessings then according to the Word of God, God has provided them for us. God wants us to have our needs met. He wants us to live comfortably. He wants us to have good clothes to wear. He wants us to have a good house to live in. He wants us to have good transport to travel in. He wants us to eat good healthy food. They are our needs and God wants to provide these needs for us.

I am sure that you have heard the cliché that says, "God provides our needs and not our greeds." Such a statement might sound very spiritual but it is not what the Bible teaches. God not only provides our needs but He also provides another blessing - our desires.

You say, "But can your desire be classed as a blessing?"

"Sure, what are some of your desires?"

"Things!"

"What! Things?"

"Yes, things! Pretty things, useful things, things that I can enjoy, things that make life more comfortable!"

"But you don't need them."

"No matter, God still wants you to have them."

Do you know how often I have bought my children things that they didn't need? Do you know why? Because as they unwrap those gifts a smile comes to their face and that bubbling joy pours out of them. When I see them so full of joy and excitement it really stirs me deep inside. I am blessed just watching them enjoy my gift.

Of course things are a blessing! Who do you think created them? It certainly was not the Devil. When God made the earth and everything in this world the Scripture says that He looked down upon it and said that it was good! When He called out His chosen people Israel what was His main promise to them?

"I am taking you to a land that flows with milk and honey."

You say, "What do you want to drink milk for? What's wrong with water? What do you want honey for? It's a luxury. You can live without it. You don't need it."

I guess God missed that one then because He gave them a land that flowed with milk and honey. The Scripture says, "He brought honey out of the rock for them." He went to so much trouble to give them the honey He made it come out of the stone. God wants to give you every good thing that He has created. He wants to withhold nothing from you. In Christ Jesus He has provided for you to have whatever your heart desires. The Scripture says, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart."

What about recognition and acceptance? What about being recognized and revered by others? What about positions of authority and fame?

You say, "Oh, that's very unspiritual brother. We have to be humble. We have to stay low. Nobody must see me!"

The Lord told the nation of Israel that if they would obey His commands, He would make them the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath. God wants you to be lifted up; a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. How will the world see what God has put in you, and how will you display the blessing of the Lord unless you are in a place where it can be seen?

I can remember a time when it appeared that I was going to remain in the background. No one seemed to know that I existed even though I had so much in me that I wanted to give out for the Lord. I looked at men that God had raised up to preach the Word. One had become famous and was traveling around the country and I envied him. Yet when I looked at him I thought, "Lord, you have given me more than what this man has. How come you are allowing him to be lifted up and not me?"

I looked at a well-known preacher in my area that was quite arrogant. He seemed keen on drawing attention to himself and I felt he was not really glorifying the Lord. I said, "Lord it's not fair. This man is being blessed and I am not." The Lord said to me, "He is accomplishing more for my Kingdom than you are right now, so I would remain silent if I were you." It seemed confusing to me at first.

Then I realized that to be lifted up and recognized is not necessarily a bad thing. It can put you in a position where God is glorified in you. If you are walking around groveling, wallowing, poor, sick and insecure, how many people do you suppose would come up to you as you walk down the street and say, "Wow I want what you've got. How did you get it?" Not many, I can assure you.

But they are going to the world instead. They are buying all the success books and the do-it-yourself books of the world that say something like, "How to become a millionaire. Ten easy steps. This is how I did it. These are my secrets to success." You can buy books written by certain well-known millionaires and often their main secret to success is, "Destroy the opposition. Lift yourself up!"

The Bible calls that strife and vainglory. It is time that the people of God rise up into positions in the world that are recognized; into positions of authority; into positions of success; into positions of wealth, that they can declare to the world, "I am what I am because of what God did in me!" Then the world can say, "I want some of that. Tell me how you got it."

But we are too spiritual for that aren't we? We have to be humble and we should not be taken up with things. There is an old song that goes, "This world is not my home I'm just a passin' through." As a result of this way of thinking, we prefer to leave all the wealth for the Devil and his crowd. I can just not imagine giving my son a beautiful gift that he has been wanting for so long and him looking at it and saying, "Well, I'll just give that away to somebody else." Not a chance!

When God made the world, He did not make it for the Devil. He made it for His man Adam and what He created in this world He created for Adam and for us, his descendants. Adam gave it away when he handed it over to Satan in sin and Satan took control of this world. Jesus came upon this earth to buy it back for us. He paid the supreme penalty. He paid the supreme price of shedding His own blood, to buy back for us what Adam had given away.

The Devil tried to sidetrack Him by tempting Him saying, "Here are all the kingdoms of the world. I have control over them, and I will give them all to you if you will bow down and worship me." But Jesus said, "Get behind me, Satan." He went to the cross instead and reversed what Adam had lost. He took back from Satan what Adam had handed over to him and it cost Him His life.

Can you imagine taking all that you have to buy your wife a beautiful gift and she won't take it? Could you imagine her offering to pay for the gift that you have bought? Jesus paid for everything and the Scripture says, "He that spared not His own Son but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not with Him freely give us all things?" All what? All things! But so many of us are missing it. We are losing what Jesus paid such a big price to purchase for us.

I know it was a Divine appointment when I happened onto the GMR web site just a week ago from some where in cyber space. I sought the Lord as to whether He wanted me to read the web site contents. (I never know what to expect when coming on so-called "apostolic" and "prophet" web sites.)

It wasn?t too long before I knew I hit bonanza! After reading the archives, I went to the "GMR store" and prayed as to what the Lord would have me read?."start with The Way of Blessings" immediately came the response. And off I went! And what blessings have already begun to fall within only minutes after I downloaded the first chapter.

This very special ebook consists of twelve individual chapters each comprised of covering every range of "blessing category" imaginable. Beginning with the first chapter, "The Way of Blessing", the author, Apostle Les Crause makes it perfectly clear that God?s Plan for His children is one of blessing and not necessarily deprivation as many have been erroneously taught.

Going into the second and third chapters, Apostle Crause expounds on the "spiritual principles" and "spiritual forces" which are in effect in His universe and how they need to be understood by all His Children if they are to walk in His "blessing Plan" for His Children. These forces are real and need to be activated in order for them to be implemented and brought into play in His grand design.

Of extreme importance, the reader should really delve into the section of "Building Spiritual Templates"?this section alone should move the most erudite psychologist. (Hopefully, it should also help him or her with their own personal deliverance should they incorporate this chapter into their lives as well.) Clearly explained, this chapter alone will begin to bring deliverance to those who are still held captive by the lies of the enemy in their lives, quickly putting them on the path to "inner healing" which only the Precious Holy Spirit can initiate.

There seems no end to the stream of blessings which this little ebook (okay, not so little) will cover once the reader begin to permit the Spirit of the Lord to work on him/her and show the areas which need correction, modifying, adjustments, implementation or simply repentance.


Many times falling back on past experiences from his life no doubt, Apostle Crause continues on with God?s Plan for Blessings covering areas such as the ministry of angels; dealing with curses; receiving healing and walking in Biblical prosperity (it may not be what we thought Saints!)

He goes further than this, he actually demonstrates to the reader how to RECEIVE?.he doesn?t just tell us God blesses - he tells us how to actually receive the blessing! Hallelujah!

Whatever said beforehand, would not bring fruition were it not for the last chapter of the book - and perhaps one of the most important. This chapter entitled "Spiritual Birthing" or "bringing forth the answer" is the piece d?resistance, in this writer?s opinion, and without understanding it; without living it out; and without implementing it when the Holy Spirit says "PUSH", "KEEP PUSHING", the Christian will never be able to birth what God has given him to bring to life in the Kingdom of God?

This ebook is definitely for those only serious in their walk in the prophetic and apostolic move of God. Those who have purposed in their hearts to go on and "do valiantly" for the Lord.
